LEGO® Robotics 75-min class
Areas of exploration: robotics, programming, logic.
This is our core class, where beginners learn to build and program LEGO® robots using LEGO® Education's award-winning WeDo robotics and programming software. Students follow step-by-step on-screen instructions to build their robots and a suggested program.
After that, we work with those who are ready to develop more complicated programs involving motion or tilt sensors. In the final class, we take off the training wheels and challenge the students to design and build a bot that can achieve a certain task.
Young Engineers 75-min class
Areas of exploration: engineering, physics.
Lots of people follow recipes for 30 years and still can’t cook. We don’t want that to happen to your budding engineers. In this class, kids will learn basic engineering concepts, while designing and building cool things like towers and bridges. We’ll be designing egg drops and … building working catapults that are almost as large as your child! Each student takes home his/ her own catapult.
